Definitions
In these terms:
- Taxi Venlocity: Taxi Venlocity, the carrier;
- Customer: the person or organisation requesting a ride or having one requested;
- Passenger: every person travelling with Taxi Venlocity;
- Ride: the transport of passengers and their luggage between the agreed pick-up address and destination.
Applicability
These terms apply to every request made via the website, phone, email or WhatsApp and to every resulting agreement. Deviating arrangements only apply if Taxi Venlocity has confirmed them in writing (including by email or WhatsApp).
Request and confirmation
A request via the website is an enquiry, not a booking. The agreement is only concluded once Taxi Venlocity has explicitly confirmed the ride. Taxi Venlocity may decline a request without giving reasons, for example when no suitable vehicle is available.
The customer is responsible for correct and complete details: pick-up address, destination, date, time, number of passengers, luggage, pets, flight number and special requests. Incorrect details may lead to an adjusted price or cancellation of the ride.
Prices
All prices are in euros and include VAT.
Fixed rates apply to a single ride by car between the places listed. The fare from the ride calculator is an estimate based on the calculated route and the taxi fare (starting fare, price per kilometre and price per minute), with a discount on longer rides; the final price is stated in the confirmation.
Costs not included in the price, such as extra stops, requested detours, additional waiting time, tolls, ferries or parking, are agreed in advance or charged afterwards at actual cost.
Payment
Payment is made at the end of the ride, in cash, by card or contactless, or via a payment request, unless agreed otherwise in writing. Business rides can be invoiced by arrangement; the payment term is then 14 days from the invoice date.
Pick-up and waiting time
We arrive at the agreed time. For pick-ups at an address the first 15 minutes of waiting are free of charge. For airport pick-ups we track the flight using the flight number provided and wait free of charge until 60 minutes after the actual landing time.
After that, waiting time may be charged per quarter of an hour started. If the passenger has not appeared and cannot be reached after 45 minutes of additional waiting, the ride is treated as a no-show.
Changes and cancellation
Changes or cancellations can be made by phone, email or WhatsApp. A change is only valid once confirmed by Taxi Venlocity.
- Cancellation up to 12 hours before departure: free of charge;
- Cancellation within 12 hours before departure: up to 50% of the agreed fare;
- No-show: up to 100% of the agreed fare.
Luggage, pets and children
Declared luggage must fit safely in the vehicle. Special items (such as a bicycle, wheelchair or pushchair) must be reported in advance.
Pets only travel with prior approval and in a suitable carrier or with a harness. Assistance dogs always travel free of charge.
Child seats are available on request and must be mentioned in the request.
Conduct and safety
Passengers wear a seat belt, follow the driver’s instructions and do not smoke, vape, eat or consume alcohol or drugs in the vehicle. The driver may refuse or end the ride in case of unsafe or disruptive behaviour. Costs of damage or excessive soiling are borne by the customer.
Liability
Taxi Venlocity is liable in accordance with the statutory rules for passenger transport (Book 8 of the Dutch Civil Code). We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control, such as traffic, road closures, weather or delayed flights, nor for missed flights or connections if the ride started at the agreed time. Liability for luggage damage is limited to the statutory maximum.
Items left in the vehicle are kept for up to three months. Please contact us via info@taxivenlocity.nl.
Complaints
Do you have a complaint? Please report it, preferably within two months after the ride, via info@taxivenlocity.nl or +31657166570, stating the date, time and a short description. We respond within 14 days.
Governing law
All agreements are governed by Dutch law. Disputes are submitted to the competent court in the district of Limburg, unless mandatory law designates another court.
