Who is responsible?

Which data do we process?
We only process data you enter yourself or that is needed for the website to work:
- Ride request: name, phone number, email address, pick-up address and destination (with coordinates), date and time, number of passengers, vehicle choice, notes and the calculated fare estimate;
- Contact form: name, email address, phone number and message;
- Technical data: IP address and browser details in the server logs of our hosting provider;
- Preferences: language, colour mode and cookie choice (stored only locally in your browser);
- Website statistics: only with your consent (see Cookies and local storage).
Purposes and legal bases
- Handling your ride request and planning, performing and invoicing the ride: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR);
- Answering your question via the contact form: performance of a contract or our legitimate interest in answering questions;
- Accounting and tax returns: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR);
- Securing the website and preventing spam and abuse: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR);
- Website statistics: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
With whom do we share data?
We never sell your data. We only use service providers needed for our services, with whom we have agreements on security and confidentiality (data processing agreements):
- Geoapify GmbH (Germany): receives the address text you type and the coordinates of selected addresses to provide suggestions and routes;
- Our hosting provider (currently Netlify, Inc.): hosts the website and processes technical data;
- Strato (email for our own domain): forwards your request to us by email;
- Google (Reviews): when we show Google reviews, your browser loads reviewers’ profile photos from Google servers;
- Google Ireland Ltd. (Google Analytics): only with your consent, with shortened IP addresses;
- WhatsApp (Meta), via the notification service CallMeBot: we receive a notification of your request on our own phone; and when you contact us via WhatsApp yourself;
- Public authorities: only where required by law.
Transfers outside the EU
Some providers (such as Netlify and Google) may process data in the United States. This only happens under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
How long do we keep data?
- Ride requests that do not lead to a ride: up to 6 months;
- Data of completed rides and invoices: 7 years (tax retention obligation);
- Contact messages: up to 12 months after handling;
- Website statistics: up to 14 months;
- Preferences in your browser: until you delete them.
Cookies and local storage
We use necessary local storage for the website to work. Statistics cookies are only set with your consent. We currently do not use marketing cookies. You can change your choice at any time via Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.

Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures, such as encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted access to data and not storing ride details in your browser.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict processing, to data portability and to object to processing. You can withdraw consent at any time. Send your request to info@taxivenlocity.nl; we respond within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity.

Not satisfied with how we handle your data? Please let us know. You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
Changes
We may update this policy, for example when we start using new services. The latest version is always available on this page.
